COCK-WATER DETECTOR,FUEL TANK
A cylindrically shaped item composed of a perforated cylinder, a threaded adapter, and a self-locking drain cock. The item is designed to be inserted into a fuel tank to afford quick and complete sump drainage of water. Absolute detection of water is obtained by filling the cylinder with noncorrosive crystals which are insoluble in fuel but dissolve and cause discoloration in the presence of water.

The item is connected to the accelerator control pedal via the GOVERNOR (1), DIESEL ENGINE and a rod linkage. It is designed to turn the PLUNGER, FUEL INJECTOR when the engine is in action so that the delivery quantity of the PUMP, FUEL, METERING AND DISTRIBUTING can be changed from zero to maximum quantity. In order to enable a control of the delivery quantity, the item may have recesses or splines.

VENTURI TUBE,CARBURETOR
An item designed for use in a CARBURETOR ASSEMBLY which measures the amount of air aspirated by the engine. The tube is wasp waisted and expanded at ends. The reduction in the cross section of the tube increases air velocity thus creating a corresponding vacuum at the point of least cross section. Also known as a choke tube.

An expandable accordion shaped item with a moving rod, which can expand or contract lineraly. It converts temperature effects into controlled linear movement of the rod which actuates fuel control adjusting device.

A line from the fuel injectors to the fuel tank which allows fuel leaks from the injectors to return to the fuel tank. It generally consists of leak fuel pipes, fittings and the like.
